My Art Has a Gambling Problem

So I'm still working out the kinks in my blog, bear with me.

When I was in Rotterdam one of my professors handed everyone a six-sided die on the first day of class and told us to let it control one aspect of our lives for the remainder of the semester. These drawings are inspired from the numbers I rolled.

I have begun to work on a project involving gambling.
Someone somewhere once said, "Inspiration comes from the everyday" and another person once said, "Get a job, you lazy bum." I've put the two kernels of wisdom together to come up with the idea for my next series.
I cannot tell you the details just yet, but if someone could help me tie a bindle, play the harmonica, and hop trains I would be grateful.

I am not exactly sure what my fixation on hard-hat diving suits is about. I like the idea of being heavy and weightless at the same time, danger, uncertainty and the stones it takes to go down into deep. The diver's existence depends entirely on his suit and he as long as he remains in the water he is the delicate guest, exploring an environment not meant to accommodate him.
On this blog you can follow my drawings, thoughts, and process. The purpose is to explain and offer insight which you otherwise wouldn't get because you live at the bottom of the sea. So let's get to know Max Lewis.
